Any good school will no longer deny the vital place of computers and ICT within their community for the educational benefit of students and school administration.  As this ICT landscape grows increasingly complex for the ‘average’ teacher, we are delighted with Xanadu’s common-sense approach that successfully sanitises the technology.  Xanadu’s wealth of experience in New Zealand schools (and the fact that some staff are ex-teachers) means that the consultation and services they offer are already targeted to the special requirements of the education sector.

 Our students and staff make daily use of an efficient and reliable network of 50 computers supplied, installed and maintained by Xanadu.  The cost conscious school need have no fear of the integrity of the advice and solutions offered by Xanadu. Xanadu listened to our requirements, did not try to over-sell and delivered a solution that was nearly 50% cheaper than some of the major players in the New Zealand education sector.
 
Ongoing support is also exceptional.  All members of the school appreciate the ability to speak directly to the very engineers who installed our system – their ability to communicate in a ‘plain English’ way is also something that should not be under estimated.  Our network is resilient, secure and the only downtime we have is when new software installations require it.

I have been using Xanadu IT for our business IT systems since March 2004.

They assisted us to configure and install a new SBS2003 server based system t o replace our previous Windows Peer to Peer environment. This included internal hosting for our email server, upgrading our router/firewall and implementing mobility and communications options, we run around 12 PC’s including notebooks plus two Mac’s and three printers.
Since the installation they have been providing maintenance and support for the server system and our PC’s.

I have been very pleased with their service over this time. The staff we deal with and in particular Allan Hunter show good technical skills, react promptly and have a flexible approach to the services they provide that particularly suits a business such as ours.
